This Grade II listed former fire house has been put together to create a special environment to relax, indulge and unwind in.
The unique Ty Bach Tan (Little Fire House), has an interesting history dating back to the 19th century. The building once housed the fire station office for Talgarth with the appliance being kept in the garage of the Tower Hotel opposite. The renovation to the cottage was completed by the owners, retaining as many original period features as possible.
We have enhanced the buildings character through careful use of stone, slate and wood to create a unique and very comfortable property, making this a perfect holiday retreat. It is conveniently located in the small town of Talgarth, where there are shops, pubs and local bus services. For the more active guests why not try canoeing down the River Wye, or climb the Black Mountains. Hay-on-Wye and Brecon are both nearby, or further afield are Hereford and Abergavenny. Shop, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
